“I chose a romantica of devon strapless, ivory gown, which was made of taffeta – very simple and elegant,” explains Jennnifer. “I also wore an art-deco diamante brooch which was my 'something old' and 'borrowed', from my mum,” she adds.

Karen had her heart set on an A-Line dress with a fitted bodice and lots of sparkles, and found the object of her desires in Romantica's Sienna dress. “The shop I first visited didn't have my size, so I had to hunt it down,” she says, as she was on such a short lead time. “I finally found it at Brides Visited in Surrey.”

Laura's head turning ivory and cappuccino dress was from the Romantica range and featured a corset edged with roses, a diagonal layered skirt and a small train. The dress came with a statement rose choker, and Laura dyed her peep-toe shoes cappuccino to match her gown.

Anthea was positively glowing in her Romantica strapless gown that she bought from Anne Whittaker bridalwear. “It was the Zeta fishtail gown in a rich cream ivory taffeta,” she remembers. “On the morning of the wedding, Hector's best man surprised me with a Tiffany & Co. pearl and diamond necklace. It was so simple, yet so beautiful,” explained Anthea.
